Here's the Barn Chicks Registration form!  As of today, we have ten spaces left.  Get those registrations in!  It's a first come, first served deal! Oh, did I mention the Buggy Barn company is going out of business?  This might be your last chance to get one of their books as they will no longer be publishing patterns!

Next Quilting Class: Barn Chicks

Our next quilting class will be on the quilt pattern "Barn Chicks" by Buggy Barn.  This quilt will be a 16 block quilt in primitive-style fabrics.  I will be working out the details with Mascoma Parks and Recreation and Cardigan Mountain School very soon.  In the meantime, here's a picture of the quilt: Barn Chicks
We're hoping to offer breakfast and lunch again as well as a few options for "purchasing" the class (with or without fabric).  Our maximum student capacity will be 12.

Thank Your Lucky Stars!

We held our VERY FIRST quilting class yesterday at Cardigan Mountain School in conjunction with Mascoma Parks and Recreation.  The class was a hit (I'm thanking my lucky stars) and guess what, they've asked for more!  We'll hold another class in the fall.  Stay tuned so you don't miss the action!  Attached are pictures from our day!  A special thank you to Linda Pendleton for assisting me with the class.

Lucky Stars Quilting Class!

Join Melissa Allen from Graham Hill Studios in conjunction with Mascoma Valley Parks and Recreation for a quilting class!  The class is being held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Canaan on the beautiful Cardigan Mountain School Campus at the new Cardigan Commons dining facility.  In this class, you’ll be making a quilt called, “Lucky Stars” by Atkinson Designs in a lap size (see below).  A light breakfast, coffee, and lunch will be provided.  Maximum participants: 12

The class schedule is as follows:

8:30 - 9:00 Arrival and light breakfast

9:00-12:00 Introductions and review of general pattern instructions, cutting

12:00-12:30 Lunch

12:30 - 3:30 Sewing, squaring up, sewing the top together

3:30 - 4:00 Take - down

Please arrive to class on time to be courteous to other students.  Label all materials with a permanent marker.  Bring an extension cord, power strip, cutting mat, rotary cutter, sewing machine (remember your foot pedal), sewing machine instruction book, and any notions you may need (thread, fabric, etc.)  If you have any questions, please call Melissa Allen directly at 523-7996

Cancellations:  In the event you are unable to attend the class, please notify the instructor by July 12th for a full reimbursement.  You can, however, find someone to take your place (please notify instructor).  If we cancel the class, a full refund will be given. Refunds will not be given to no-shows.
